LEADING YOUTH TO LIFELONG VALUES
For over 15 years the youth of Shannon , GA have been having the time of their lives making new friends and learning new things with the fun-filled, values-based environment of Pack 30. From building their own Pinewood Derby car to learning how to roast the perfect marshmallow with their best friends at one of our many family Camp-Outs and Activities, your Child will LOVE being a Cub Scout. So if your child is in the Kindergarten through fifth grades, or 6 to 10 years old, then it's time for them to have some fun … with Pack 30! In Cub Scouting, boys, girls, and their families have fun and adventure in a program that builds character and instills values. Cub Scouting embraces the values of citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith, health and fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive attitude, resourcefulness, respect, and responsibility. These values come to boys and girls in all parts of the Cub Scout program - all while they're having a great time with their friends and families.

Preparation for Boy Scouts
Our Pack was originally chartered in 2007 and are members of the Coosa District of the BSA Northwest Georgia Council.Our Charter Organization is the Shannon Sportsman Club in Shannon, Georgia. We are financially self supporting and all of our adult leaders are volunteers. The Pack meets regularly at the Shannon Scout Hut located in Shannon , Georgia. Boys who are older than 10, or who have completed the fifth grade, can join the Boy Scouts and are encouraged to contact our affiliate Boy Scout Troop, Troop 30.
